Jane B. (Benner) Willard

Jane B. Willard, 93, of New Holland and formerly of Coatesville died Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Garden Spot Village where she resided since 1996.

She was the wife of W. Richard Willard, who preceded her in death in 1995.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Winfield P. and Viola Mae Richard Benner.

Jane was employed as a secretary at G. O. Carlson’s and the former Lukens Steel Company. She was a life member of the Wagontown Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving her are a son, Richard C. Willard (Penney), grandson, Jeremy C. Willard (Julia) and their children Reid and Levi; grandson, Jonathan P. Willard (Tiffeny) and their children, Lily and Jonathan. Her daughter, Daryl L. Hawthorne (George), granddaughter, Melinda A. Fineberg and her children, Kyleigh and Ellison.  She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and James Alexander.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Garden Spot Village Chapel where relatives and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.  Private interment will be held at Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff, CNA’s and homemakers at Garden Spot and the Hospice of Lancaster County for the exceptional care given to their mother.
