Alice Regas

Alice Regas was born in Arachova, Greece.

Alice came to America in 1951 and married in 1957.  Alice lived in Coatesville and worked as a custodial worker for the Coatesville Hospital.  She also worked in several restaurants as a waitress and helped in the kitchen.   

In Coatesville, Alice was involved in the Greek Community helping prepare food for holidays and special occasions; baking Greek cookies, fresh bread, and making sausages.

Alice helped people who were ill and spent many hours at their side.  She had many friends in the Senior Citizen Center and would visit friends from the East to West ends of Coatesville.  Everyone knew and cared about Alice and she lived in Coatesville for over forty years.

She was a devoted Mother of four children.  Alice was very generous and protective of her children.  She would take them to the park to play and end the visit with an ice cream treat.

Alice moved to New York and lived in a Greek Assisted Living facility.  She enjoyed the Greek food, and made close relationships with the other residents.

Alice passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on September 28th.

Alice is survived by her four children, Emmanuel, Constantina, Demetra and her husband, George, and George; five grandchildren, Evan, Alexandra, Evangelia, Athena, and Michael; a great granddaughter, Amalia; her sister, Mary and her husband Robert Daub and several nieces and nephews.

Her brothers Stefanos, William and sister Vasiliki preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 64 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA where relatives and friends may visit from 9:45 to 10:45 at the church.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.
