Betty Jane (Hall) Whiteman

Betty Jane (Hall) Whiteman of Coatesville aged 92 passed away at her home on Sunday, May 29, 2022.

She was the wife of the late Horace A. Whiteman, Jr., who passed away on July 27, 2018.

Having first worked at Bleckman’s in Coatesville,  Betty Jane married and went to work at Pepperidge Farms in Downingtown along with her late husband for many years before retiring due to health issues.

A loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she always had a smile on her face for everyone despite her daily pain.  Her biggest joy was the weekends when her granddaughter, Brooke, husband Dave, and the love of her life her great granddaughter, Alivia, came to stay with her.  Her constant companion was her cat, “Winnie”.  She will always be remembered by her children for her strength to get through the most difficult of times and to remember that no matter what you have keep going on in life.

Betty Jane is survived by her daughters, Sandra L. (Whiteman) Kilsby of New York City; Linda L. (Whiteman) Clay; son, Keith A. Whiteman (Helen) all of Coatesville; daughter-in-law, Kelly Whiteman of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Brooke Comley (Dave); Kelly Laukhuff (Phillip); Chelsea Charles (Dylan); Chase Whiteman; and great granddaughter, Alivia Comley.   She was also preceded in death by her son, Guy A. Whiteman; son-in-law, K. Scott Clay; grandson, Billy Howe, Jr.; and granddaughter, Michelle Frazier.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
