Carl E. Gregson, 89, of Ephrata and formerly of Modena died Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Sinking Spring Nursing & Rehab Center.
He was the husband of Virginia M. “Ginger” Gregson with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Harry and Margaret Morrison Gregson.
Carl served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Upon the completion of his miliary service, he was employed as a steel worker at the former Lukens Steel Company.
He was a member of the Ephrata American Legion, former member of the Ephrata Masonic Lodge, F. & A.M., the Reading Consistory and the Rajah Temple. He was also involved in public service as a life member of the Modena Fire Company and served on the Modena Borough Council. For over 20 years, he was a faithful blood donor.
Surviving him in addition to his wife, Ginger is a sister, Gail Haught, and canine companion Huey, a rescue from the SPCA in 2016.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Gregson and sisters, Margaret Walton and Sandra Gregson. His brother, John Gregson died on February 27, 2023.
Private services were held at Romansville Friends Cemetery, West Bradford.
