Obituary

Joan F. Gordon, 84, of Coatesville passed away Monday, May 22, 2023.

She was the wife of Robert L. Gordon with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Helen Zappacosta Frederick.

Joan was the secretary at Lukens Steel Company in the Industrial Engineering Department.  After working at Lukens, she was the secretary at Our Lady of the Rosary Church for many years.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are a son, Gary F. Gordon; two daughters, Brenda Tracy (Michael) and Cheryl Carr (Edward); and two grandchildren, Logan Ritter (Chad) and Blake Tracy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 80 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the church.  Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery.
