Margaret A. (Stinedurf) Simmers

Margaret (Peggy) A. Simmers, 82, of Coatesville died peacefully Sunday, August 21, 2022.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late George and Laura (Barney) Stinedurf and the widow of Thomas T. Simmers, Sr. with whom they celebrated their 64th anniversary in May.

Peggy is survived by her three sons: Tom Jr. husband of Tracy of Downingtown; Greg Sr. husband of Charleen of Coatesville; Gary husband of Isabel of Honeybrook; and her daughter, Laura Reiter of Mineral, VA along with 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Stinedurf.  She has one surviving brother, Charles Stinedurf.

She attended Coatesville High School.

Peggy retired from Krapf School Bus Company after 20+ years.  She was also employed by the Coatesville Area School District and On The Go Kids.

She was a member of the Coatesville Moose, Downingtown VFW as well as many other social clubs.  Peggy enjoyed shopping, game shows, NASCAR, word puzzles and vacationing with her family and friends.  Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the most joy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
