Rasmi M. Madanat

Rasmi M. Madanat, 72, of Downingtown died Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Chester County Hospital, West Chester.

He was the husband of Maha Madanat with whom he shared eight years of marriage.

Born in Al Karak/Ader, Jordan, he was the son of Michael and Martha Madanat.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Laila in 2002.

Rasmi was employed in the Maintenance Department of the Vo-Tech School in Coatesville.  He was a landlord of several rental units and he enjoyed interacting with his tenants.  Rasmi liked to garden, cook for his family and friends, tinker on Volkswagens and shopping at the Habitat Store.

Surviving him are his children, Rania, Suzanne, Sherin, Mary and Regina; eight grandchildren; and his siblings, Lazar, Raid, Rami, and Ramez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, May 7, 2021 at St. Peter’s Church, 2835 Manor Road, Coatesville.  Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the church from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Interment will follow Mass at Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
