Rosalie D. (Vietri) Valocchi

Rosalie D. Valocchi 94, of Coatesville passed away peacefully at the Harrison House on Wednesday April 27, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. 

She was the wife of the late William Valocchi with whom she celebrated 61 years of marriage. She was the daughter of Michael Vietri and Soccorsa Autuori Vietri.

Born in Coatesville, she lived 83 years in the family home at 4th & Oak. After graduating from Scott HS, she worked at the Parisian Dress Shop and Lukens Steel. Later in life, she enjoyed working in the cafeteria at Scott HS and volunteering at the Brandywine Hospital.

Rosalie was devoted to her husband Bill and her five children and was always ready to lend a hand to extended family and friends. She was a great cook who welcomed all to her table. The family cherishes the memory of the 7 fishes Christmas Eve celebration, and her children and grandchildren will keep the tradition alive. Her family is grateful for the wonderful care provided by the entire staff of the Harrison House and Aseracare Hospice.

Rosalie was pre-deceased by brothers Louis, Nicholas, Armand, Chester and Vincent.  She is survived by sons Albert (Anne), Stephen (Lazaros), Bill, Michael (Cathy), and daughter Susan McShane (Timothy), and grandchildren William (Karen), Patrick (Sarah), Marykate, Benedetto (Heather), Arianna, Rachel, David (Alice), and great-granddaughter Eliza.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 80 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.  Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Coatesville.
